I take a unique approach that centers on helping you to create empowering stories of your capabilities and ability to achieve your goals. Oftentimes people tell me that therapy didn't help them as they felt there was no progress. I absolutely know what that feels like and that is why I am committed to taking a different approach.
By working together, we will have the opportunity to center our work on the present moment and powerfully move forward. For those people who feel a need to tell past stories, this is of course something there is space for in our sessions. As a whole, my approach focuses on consistently helping you to identify what support feels like to you and to advocate for that support inside and outside of sessions.
As humans, we often get stuck in the same feelings and thoughts day after day. As a therapist and coach, my role is to help you interrupt, challenge, and change these repetitive ways of being. My approach is direct and may at times challenge you to think in a new way. This is important for the work that we do together so that you can break free of draining thoughts and feelings, habits that are not adding to your life, and relationship patterns that are not serving you. My responsibility as your therapist or coach is to work with you to not sit long-term in negative emotions or feelings of helplessness, but rather, solidify your confidence in your own capabilities and inner resources.
